About Mr Jeevan

Mr Jeevan is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Manchester and a Full Consultant Member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS).

He graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2002 and undertook general surgical training in Norwich and Nottingham, plastic surgery training in Birmingham, Chelmsford and Liverpool, and three prestigious subspecialty training Fellowships, including one in Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Surgery.

He was awarded a prestigious Hunterian Lectureship and the title of ‘Hunterian Professor 2017’ by The Royal College of Surgeons of England, and a PhD by the University of Cambridge, for internationally acclaimed research targeted at improving breast surgery patients’ experiences and outcomes. He is regularly invited to lecture, teach and share his expertise at national and international conferences and courses.

He has been certified in all areas of cosmetic surgery by the Intercollegiate Cosmetic Surgery Oversight Committee, which means that he is on the General Medical Council’s specialist register for plastic surgery and has demonstrated that his training, professional skills, clinical skills and knowledge are of a satisfactory standard.

He is also recognised by all major health insurers (including BUPA, AXA Health, Aviva, Aetna and VitalityHealth) for the treatment of benign and malignant skin lesions, primary and revision breast reconstruction, and all other areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Reconstructive

Mr Jeevan specialises in microsurgical (free flap) breast reconstruction at the time of or following mastectomy, primarily using DIEP or TUG flaps. This involves transferring tissue from the abdomen (tummy) or thigh to the breast area to recreate a breast mound using the patient’s own tissues.

However, he can also undertake reconstruction using breast implants where appropriate or preferred by the patient. A combination of these techniques may also be used.

Mr Jeevan is also able to provide partial breast mound reconstruction using local flaps or fat transfer to patients who have had a wide local excision or lumpectomy, where part of the breast is removed.

Finally, he can re-shape and revise the reconstructed or intact breast using an individually tailored approach to attain excellent final symmetry after breast cancer treatment. This may involve existing skin, flap or implant adjustment, or a range of techniques that include fat transfer, augmentation, reduction, uplift, and nipple reconstruction.

Skin

Mr Jeevan can assess and treat the full range of benign and malignant skin lesions that may affect the face and body, with his tailored approach of particular benefit for lesions that arise in cosmetically sensitive areas.

This includes the surgical treatment of skin cancers and associated soft tissue reconstruction with skin grafts and local or regional flaps where required.

Other procedures include…

  • Scar revision and management
  • Non-surgical facial rejuvenation
